Inspirational - Thank you so much! I just have to Share!

WOW - I am speechless, not even sure how to share! I whole heartedly believe God plants people where He wants them and I am so hopeful He plants me where he needs me! I went to K-Mart today to pick up the Layaway I had for Ryder, my grandson - Just one item in layaway but had to pay it out - Paul, my husband, still has not gotten his first check yet from returning back to work after being laid off for months. I have been cleaning a few houses to help ends meet - all in all, trying to provide stockings for the hospital on pretty much "no budget" - I went to the back at K-Mart to pay and get out my layaway, there was a lady there asking me if she could pay for my layaway.

WOW - My nerves and thoughts were shattered! I am not usually on the receiving end and I give better than I receive - She touched my heart so so much - I was then able to complete the stockings for the hospital as I really wanted too! An Answered Prayer! Ryder, My Grandson gets his Gift from Santa!

I did not get her name and still feel a bit weird letting her do that but I would just like to say, if she somehow reads my blog - I want to give her a sincere Thank You! She was a Blessing to me an my family as well as many more families since I was able to provide more items for the hospital stockings!

Stockings For the Hospital

Just wanted to give an update on how the stockings are coming along for my Christmas Project for the Parents who have a child in the hospital this Holiday Season. Having a child in the hospital during the Holidays is the last place a parent wants to be during Christmas - I am truly hoping to bring a little bit of kindness and thoughts there way!

I have been busy decorating and personalizing the stockings - Hoping they like 'em! I didn't want to just send a "plain" one stuffed! Donations of all sorts have been coming in from gift cards, gift certificates, monetary donations, and stocking stuffers - I am very anxious to start stuffing these socks and especially for delivery day when Christmas gets a little closer!

Thank you - More Donations to Share!

I received a box full of lotions and lip balms from Judy in Pennsylvania, to help fill our Christmas Socks for our Hospital Christmas Project. Thank you so so much for your generosity!

Fundraiser Results with Celebrating Home!

Thank you for all the support we have received from generous donations and the ones who have participated in our fundraiser with Celebrating Home! This will help tremendously fill stockings for Christmas for the parents who have a child in the hospital this Christmas. I know it won't be easy having to be at the hospital during the holidays but I hope this small gesture of a filled stocking of goodies will help a tiny bit to these parents!

Donations for Christmas! Thank you!

Here are all the stockings I was able to purchase with a Dollar Tree Gift Card from Liz - I am finally getting the post up for those stockings I bought with that card! Thank you so much Liz - I have been having fun decorating them and in the process of that now!

Basket Delivery to the Hospital Tomorrow

I have another Blessing Basket to deliver to the hospital tomorrow! Hoping this family can use all the contents!

ADOPTED A CHRISTMAS ANGEL

This is a little off the track of my ministry but wanted to share what else I have been doing in coping with the loss of my daughter - I think of her every minute of every day and probably always will until I see her again one day!

I adopted a Christmas Angel this year - in memory of Leah! She is a 3 year old little girl who's mom is blind. I have just about put every thing together for "Skylar" - I have enjoyed putting everything together especially for her as I would have done for Leah if she was here - just hope she enjoys the items I selected as much as I enjoyed figuring out what to give her ----

I have also joined a gift exchange for a group of parents who have lost a child too early in life - the gift had to be handmade and in memory of their little angel. I just finished selecting the items for this little boy's memory. - I think this is a wonderful idea to help keep your child's memory you lost, alive - Hope she likes what I have came up with!

ONLINE - Fundraiser for Leah's Hope with "Celebrating Home"

Fundraiser for Leah’s Hope – www.leahshope.us
I am trying to do an online fundraiser in order to help fund my Christmas Project for parents of hospitalized children, Leah’s Hope Ministries. Here is a basic description of what I am trying to accomplish - - Below is a letter with a link to the online fundraiser – will you please help me make this fundraiser a success and forward to all your friends and even post a link on your social media sites –

I am trying to provide several blessings to families of a hospitalized child this Christmas Season. Although this time of year can be harder for others, several families end up in the hospital, in the ICU fighting for their child's life, etc... my mission for this ministry is to shed a little "light" & “encouragement” to these families by way of being an experienced parent of a child that had extended stays in the hospital. My daughter was in the hospital for a total of 14 months. It is not easy financially, emotionally, or physically to watch your child suffer in a hospital bed, much less during the Holidays. We take things for granted, being able to be with our own families this time of year but “many” are not able to do so and even end up losing a loved one! Can you please help me?
I am trying to provide a “Special Christmas” to some of these parents with a child in the ICU this Christmas Season. I am in need of a total of 12 more dinner gift cards to be able to feed both parents in addition to finding the funds for 24 – “$20 Gas Cards” to place inside a Christmas Stocking.  In this regard, I need your help in pulling the funds together to purchase these gift cards.

Our ministry runs solely on the financial assistance provided by various generous people which is very little. All our financial aid comes from people who voluntarily donate the amounts they think proper to our ministry. This fund is then utilized by us to cater to parents in order to be able to provide food, handmade items such as blankets for the children, gas cards, books, magazines, puzzles, etc. This is why I am looking to you for help as far as helping Leah’s Hope to give a “Gift of Hope” this Christmas Season to some Parents of Critically ill Children. With your help, I will be able to accommodate and fill 2 dozen (24) stockings filled with a dinner card, gas card, personal items and snacks.

Your Help Would Be Extremely Helpful! Thank you for considering in helping provide a better Christmas for these families.

Hospital Delivery

Delivered a basket to the hospital today with lots of snacks, a blanket, a handmade card with a Wal-Mart gift card inside among other things.

Really hope this family that receives it, enjoys it.

Yep - I made that card myself - I'm quite proud of my "not so skilled" copic marker coloring. Hoping to get better as I do more. Definitely need to add more colors to my collection!
