Waiting on ...

I am only waiting on one thing pretty much before I can get my first care package out to the hospital. I have a couple of people working on a few things so I am hoping to get my first basket done soon so things can move along. So anxious to getting these to families!

  1. I just found your blog and became a follower. I love how you are celebrating Leah's life by giving to others. I know a lot about children with Down's and truly believe God only gives them to special people. My nephew, Jamie, has Down's and is now 29. He has blessed our lives immensely and I can't imagine how my brother's life would have been without him. When Jamie was born 29 years ago...his heart was in bad shape and he had to have surgery at age 2...but I will never forget what the doctor told them that first day. He said that if they chose to "let him go" he could withold nutrition from him and he would be gone in a few days. We had to hold my brother off that doctor, he wanted to beat him to death. Jamie has had a wonderful life, he has to have constant care but it is given without thought. Recently his mother was killed in an auto accident and that has been so hard for him to comprehend but he is doing ok. He plays a guitar and my brother says he will go in his room and sing to his mom in heaven, he sings I'll Fly Away, Mommy. I am making a donation to Leah's hope in honor of Jamie Bush.
